We cant say enough great things about Amberwood. The service in the showroom was stellar, we didn’t feel pressured to buy or rushed to choose. The salesperson came home with us at 5 pm on a Saturday to measure. The installation went without an issue, they were very professional. We had a small issue with the door months later, they were on top of it and made the repair. The work was impeccable. Most of all the door is beautiful. Everyone compliments us on the door. (We dealt with another door company previously, the door did not fit the space and the service was terrible.)

Our beautiful early 1930s beach home had a broken front door that we’d been planning to replace for ages. It would have to be custom-made, as it was a few inches larger than standard sizes. And we wanted laminated glass and a multipoint locking system for security.
After more than a year of grief working with another company whose workmanship simply didn’t cut it, we turned to Amberwood.
They understood the issues, worked with us patiently until we were happy with the stained-glass design, were in regular email and telephone contact and shipped us several stain and glass samples to approve.
Finally, our new door was ready!
Amberwood’s installers were fast, professional and meticulous. They were great to work with and did a tidy job. The door fit so precisely they were able to reuse our original gumwood trim, for a truly custom look.
We were very pleased with the glass, the workmanship of the door and the installation.

The experience with Rick as a Design/Sales consultant for us could not have been a better match as a home owner. I have been a true admirer of Amberwood doors even before purchasing my ten-year-old home in Oshawa.
Every aspect of our door, from the intricately wrought iron work to the accessories, was impeccable. This door is the centrepiece for all the following renovations to come in and out of the house.
The process from design to manufacturing is thoroughly controlled and inspected with the clients. They send you detailed sketches with measurement specification to give the most accurate representation of the final installation. The crew on the day of installation was a treat to work with; they were the most willing and patient team to explain the process and the operational functions of the door. They even installed a new door bell with built in light feature.
Walking into and out of the house has placed a smile on all of us. We have had countless requests of who commissioned the door for us and I have provided Rick as the contact for their design dreams to become a reality. Outstanding! Our new front entrance is stunning. We recently relocated to Oakville from New Jersey and bought our home. We spent a lot of time and money renovating the interior and left our front entry until everything else was complete. When we started looking, we felt like we were wasting our time with other door companies trying to sell us metal and fibreglass doors. Finally, we were lucky enough to find Rick Facchini and Amberwood Doors. Great Doors!!

It’s been a very long journey building our house and the detail work still goes on. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the fine custom doors that Amberwood built for us. After working with twenty separate contractors, most of whom did a satisfactory job, there were only three that I felt were exceptional. They were: our foam insulation guy, Piotr, the stone mason, George, and then there was you, Art.

I was just looking at my enormous and stunning 10′ high front door to see if the colour of our newly stained windows matched perfectly. While doing so, I happen to see the greater detail of the construction such as the trim inlay that I never noticed before, not mention the quality and fine workmanship of the entire finished product. The four “huge” solid hinges and door handle make an impressive final touch.

But what made my experience with Amberwood great was people like you, who worked with us to ensure, not just satisfaction, but happiness.

My wife and I are grateful for the effort given by you and all your people behind the scenes in your shop that made our front door what it is. The 22 other solid wood doors we have throughout our home are a constant reminder why we are really happy that we did not settle for factory-made production doors. It was all worth it!
